The Britney Spears security slap video has garnered widespread attention. The incident involving Britney Spears and one of the San Antonio Spurs’ security team members has been making headlines.

On July 5, 2023, Spears claimed that a security guard slapped her in the face when she approached Victor Wembanyama.

Recently released surveillance footage appears to back Spears’ claim that she only tapped the basketball player on the back.

The Alleged Slapping Incident

The incident took place at the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas, where the San Antonio Spurs and Britney Spears were both reportedly staying.

In a Britney Spears security slap video clip obtained by TMZ, the pop star can be seen running up to Wembanyama, who was walking with security, and tapping him on the back.

The security guard’s arm then flies out between Wembanyama and Spears, and a slap sound is audible.

According to a police report obtained by People, the security guard involved in the incident “used enough force when pushing Britney’s hand away that it caused her hand to hit her face, causing her sunglasses to fall off.”

This contradicts Spears’ claim that the security guard backhanded her in the face without looking back.

No Charges to be Filed

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has concluded its investigation into the battery incident that was reported on July 5, 2023, at 11 p.m.

The individual involved will not be charged, according to the investigation.

Despite Britney Spears’ assertion of being assaulted by security, there was insufficient evidence to substantiate her claim.

Wambanyama’s Statement

The San Antonio Spurs’ No. 1 pick, Victor Wambanyama, has since spoken out about the incident.

In a video shared on Twitter by KENS reporter Nate Ryan, Wambanyama explained that the incident happened as he and his security were walking in a crowded hallway.

A person repeatedly called out his name, and when he failed to respond, they grabbed him unexpectedly from behind.

As reported by Wambanyama, security personnel intervened by pushing the individual away, although he was unable to identify the specific person responsible.

Wambanyama later learned that the person grabbing him was Britney Spears.

However, Wambanyama explained that he didn’t pause to look because he was instructed not to and continued walking straight.

The Aftermath

Following the incident, Spears took to social media to share her account of what she described as a “traumatic experience.”

Furthermore, Spears mentioned that she did not receive an apology from Wambanyama, his team, or the security personnel involved.

There has been no official statement regarding the incident from the Spurs organization.

Lances’ fans have communicated their shock via online entertainment, with many requesting the excusal of the safety officer ensnared in the occurrence.

Conclusion

The recent release of surveillance footage appears to contradict Spears’ initial accusation of being backhanded by the security guard.

While the LVMPD has concluded its investigation and no charges will be filed, the incident has sparked outrage among Spears’ fans. As for the Spurs, they have yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
